The WARM Volunteer Appreciation dinner for our shelter volunteers was held on April 25, 2019. The location was First Baptist Church in Waynesboro. Dinner was prepared by Chef Jerry Wells, and included a salad, roasted chicken, red potatoes, and green beans with a variety of cheesecakes for dessert. The flowers in the front were generously donated by Waynesboro Florist.
Faithful Men provided a moving program of acapella gospel songs.
Following the wonderful music program, we had a few brief speakers, including Dr. Jeffrey Cassell, Superintendent of Waynesboro Public Schools, and Debra Freeman-Belle, WARM’s Executive Director.
Our volunteers were given tokens of our appreciation inside a WARM mug (part of the gift). The image on the program was drawn for WARM by Lisa Peruchini Brady. There were also MANY door prizes donated by area businesses and friends of WARM including Milmont Greenhouses (donated ALL the centerpieces), RAHE, Inc., The Greenleaf Grill, Stella, Bella & Lucy’s, McAlister’s Deli, Still Porkin Barbeque, Scotto’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria, and Benny Stivale’s.
