Other Ways to Give

There are plenty of creative ways to support WARM.

Here are a few great ways to contribute.

Amazon Smile

Help the Waynesboro Area Refuge Ministry any time you make a purchase through Amazon. Amazon will donate 0.5% of your purchase to support WARM when you sign up for Amazon Smile. Bookmark Amazon Smile and start your shopping there every time you shop online with Amazon!

Kroger Community Rewards

If you shop at Kroger, you can designate the WARM to receive a donation every time you shop! To get started, you need to link your Kroger Plus Card to WARM! You may need to create an account, select your store, and type in your Kroger card number. Then, search and select WARM as your beneficiary in the Kroger Community Rewards section.

eBay for Charity

eBay for Charity makes it easy for sellers to donate 10% to 100% (or as low as 1% for eBay Motors vehicles) of your item’s final sale price to WARM.

Living Trust/Life Income

Put property in trust, and have the income paid to you and then your beneficiary, then have the principal go to WARM, or make a gift directly to WARM and receive all or some the income for life.

Life Insurance

With life insurance, you can purchase a policy and designate warm as the irrevocable owner and beneficiary. Your premiums are usually small and tax deductible and can make an enormous difference to WARM. You can also make WARM the beneficiary of an existing policy, receiving all or part of the proceeds.

Appreciated Securities

Donors who have held securities for at least one year watch them grow in value. By making a gift of those securities to WARM, you will receive an immediate tax deduction of the full market value of your gift as allowed by law, and you won’t incur income tax on the appreciation.

Bequests

Gifts made through a will are the most straightforward form of estate giving. A gift to WARM is not subject to estate tax and can help reduce the tax liability for other heirs.

Donate a Car

When you donate a working car to WARM, your donation helps us provide the gift of transportation to a family in need. Many families that have graduated from Ruth’s WARM House do not have reliable transportation.
